Next Generation Dealer Services (NGDS), a provider of social media services, has started a weekly online radio show to address issues dealers are facing in social media. The show airs live every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST.

“Earlier this year, we put on a series of local seminars that were A to Z, two-day type events for auto dealers. We quickly realized that implementation on the dealership level was a major challenge,” says David Johnson, digital strategist for NGDS. “With the radio shows, we can assist dealers slowly work their strategy into their stores and be there to answer questions regarding challenges that come up.”

The radio show’s format is purposely designed to be informal and focus on real life subjects as opposed to theory about the importance of social media. Johnson and NGDS’ CEO Rob Hagen host the shows together and share their client’s success stories.

“A common question we are constantly asked by dealers is how much time they should dedicate to their social media efforts,” Johnson said. “Our answer is typically as much as possible, since statistics show time dedicated has a direct correlation to return. But we are not naive enough to think dealers have the manpower to staff solely for social media. Because of this, we often talk about our 20-20-60 rules of engagement for content creation. These rules regiment and govern time and content for all social media efforts.”
