Subaru Purchases Veridiem MRM Software

Veridiem, a Marketing Resource Management software company has announced an agreement with Subaru of America, Inc, a car company that markets and distributes symmetrical all-wheel drive vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of nearly 600 dealers across the United States. Subaru says it will use Veridiem software to help drive its nationwide marketing effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) initiative.




"We want to optimize the marketing investment required to meet our strategic business goals," said Rick Crosson, vice president of marketing for Subaru. "We're working with Veridiem to learn the impact of each marketing mix component on sales, revenue, and market share. Veridiem software will help us to measure and link marketing program results back to our original investment. The objective is to improve marketing ROI across the board in all media and channels," said Crosson.

"Improving marketing ROI is increasingly top of mind for automotive companies," noted Bill Phelan, Veridiem's founder and director of Automotive Solutions. "Subaru is representative of a number of automotive leaders that are looking to new technologies such as Veridiem's Marketing Resource Management [MRM] software to determine the true impact of their marketing investments and thereby increase revenue and brand equity."




According to the company, the patent-pending Veridiem system collects and maintains all the relevant information business managers and marketing teams need to evaluate marketing effectiveness and drive actions that improve the bottom line. Veridiem applications include:


  • Veridiem Marketing Performance Monitor(tm) automatically generates reports to track P&L impact.


  • Veridiem Marketing Planner(tm) for collaborative information sharing and planning process management.


  • Veridiem Marketing Simulator(tm) helps marketers evaluate alternative plans, markets, target segments, media, and programs by delivering rapid what-if analysis capabilities.

  • Veridiem Analytics Workbench(tm) allows internal marketing research personnel or external analytics vendors to work within the Veridiem system to define and manage analytic algorithms and models.
