ST. LOUIS — Two St. Louis-area companies, Wise F&I and Mid America Logistics, are teaming up to give much-needed support to those affected by the California wildfires. They will be collecting donations of sealed non-perishable food, non-alcoholic beverages, dry goods, and healthcare products. Their goal is to deliver a minimum of two truckloads of these goods to the affected areas of Northern California.

In addition, Mid America Logistics and Wise F&I will be donating one cent per mile for every shipment driven by Mid America Logistics during the week of Dec. 7. Monetary donations will be given to a charity selected by the employees of both organizations to provide desperately needed basic supplies and medical care for survivors. Mid America Logistics will also offer free transportation for any existing client if they donate 12 pallets or more of donations toward the relief efforts.

“Our company has a large dealer and agent base in California,” said Matt Croak, president and CEO of Wise F&I. “This event has had direct impacts to Wise F&I stakeholders. There are many ties between businesses in the St. Louis area and California. It is a privilege to extend our Midwestern values and generosity by providing an opportunity for the entire region to chip in and help wildfire victims in their time of need.”

Those within the Gateway Region willing to donate can drop off supplies at Mid America Logistics and Wise F&I’s corporate offices at 900 South Highway Drive on the eastbound side of Interstate 44 in Fenton. Donors should look for a Mid America Logistics trailer and team members from both organizations when bringing in their donations. Personnel will be onsite Dec. 7–9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
