Group 1 Added to Fortune 500 List of America's Largest Companies

Group 1 Automotive, Inc., a major operator in the automotive retailing industry, on April 9 announced that it has been added to Fortune magazine's Fortune 500 list.

The Fortune 500 ranks America's largest companies by revenue. Group 1, with 2000 revenues of $3.6 billion, ranks No. 458. Last year, the company was included in the Fortune 1000, ranking 569 after posting 1999 revenues of $2.5 billion.

Group 1 is included in the Automotive Retailing and Services sector, which is among the 10

fastest-growing industry sectors according to Fortune magazine.
