Lazard Group announced Oct. 1 that it has opened an operations center in Beaumont, Texas to offer its Sterling Technologies software products nationwide. This opening coincides with the acquisition of several of Ecosoft Marketing, Inc.'s assets, including NoteLot(TM) and other software services.

Sterling Technologies specializes in providing technology and support to independent auto, boat and RV dealers. SterlingWare software is designed to streamline traditional automotive sales, finance, inventory and accounting duties, cutting in half the time it usually takes to do this, according to W. Lee Domingue, president of Lazard Group.

According to Domingue, the opening of its Beaumont office is part of the overall strategy to provide SterlingWare products, programming and technical support to customers throughout the country.

"We felt it was imperative to have a solid infrastructure in place before we expanded nationally," Domingue said. "The opening of the Beaumont office allows us to provide the sales and technical support staff necessary to service our customers."

In addition to providing software and forms programming for SterlingWare and NoteLot(TM) customers, Sterling Technologies will also offer Web site design and hosting, hardware packages and turnkey systems installations.

The company plans to provide enhancements to existing Ecosoft software, allowing dealers to increase their productivity and profit. According to Domingue, the upgraded technology will allow the software to meet the demands of a changing economy.
