Triad Financial Bolsters Operations Team

Triad Financial Corp. has announced the addition of two finance industry veterans to its operations management team. Dennis Morris joins the company as chief credit officer (CCO) and senior vice president of Sales and Production, and Daniel Leonard takes on the new role of senior vice president, Portfolio Management. Both Morris and Leonard report to Triad CEO Jim Landy.

Morris, 38, brings more than 15 years experience in the automotive finance industry. As chief credit officer and senior vice president of Sales and Production, he will direct Triad's credit strategies and practices. In addition, Morris will oversee the company's sales and marketing initiatives. Morris joins Triad from Household Automotive Finance Corp., where he was group director, Risk Management and CCO. His vast industry experience also includes senior management positions at WFS Financial, American Honda Finance Corp. and Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. Morris earned a bachelor's of science in Business Administration from San Diego State University.


Leonard takes on the new role of senior vice president of Portfolio Management at Triad. He will leverage his more than 30 years of experience in finance to lead Triad's portfolio management practices to optimize portfolio performance. Triad's Customer Care, Remarketing and Loss Recovery activities also fall under Leonard's responsibility. Leonard, 55, comes to Triad from a 12-year career at California Federal Bank where he held a number of senior management positions, including most recently president of California Federal's Auto One Acceptance Corp. where he ran the unit that makes indirect auto loans to prime and sub-prime borrowers. Prior to California Federal, Leonard held senior leadership positions at BankAmerica Corp. Leonard, who is relocating from Texas, earned his bachelor's degree from Portland State University, Portland, Ore. He also is a past board member for the National Automotive Finance Association.
