GILLETTE, Wyo. -- An ex-dealership employee who helped embezzle over $250,000 while working at two dealerships started her two-year federal prison term.
According to the Associated Press, Julia Jones, 42, surrendered in March and was sentenced last month for conspiring to commit mail and wire fraud. She also must pay $45,000 in restitution and serve three years' probation after her jail term.
Jones and Kelly Lee Rang, who was sentenced to a 16-month prison term, collaborated in creating false financial sales entries between 1997 and 2000. They recorded sales of 66 nonexistent cars at two Gillette, Wyo., area dealerships.
