N.H. Dealer Association Names New President

The New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association has selected Peter J. McNamara as the new president of NHADA.

The New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association has selected Peter J. McNamara as the new president of NHADA. He will succeed Daniel McLeod, who is retiring after 27 years.


McNamara will serve as the chief executive officer of the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association and its three affiliate entities, which include the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association Workers' Compensation Trust, the New Hampshire Auto Dealers Services, Inc., and the New Hampshire Automotive Education Foundation.

McNamara comes to New Hampshire from Illinois, where he served as general counsel. He was also one of the governmental affairs lobbyists for the Illinois Automobile Dealers Association.


The New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association is a statewide trade association with a staff of 34, representing 600 businesses in the motor vehicle industry that employ over 13,000 individuals. Members include new-car and -truck dealers, motorcycle and recreational vehicle dealers, used-vehicle dealers and wholesalers, repair shops, body shops, and parts stores, as well as other companies associated with the motor vehicle industry. Annual retail sales for all members are in excess of $6 billion and account for over 25 percent of all retail sales in New Hampshire.
