SALT LAKE CITY — ADP Lightspeed, a dealer management systems (DMS) provider for powersports dealerships, partnered with Western Power Sports, a wholesale distributor of parts and accessories, to allow users of the LightspeedNXT DMS to search through Western Power Sports' warehouse data.

Dealers will be able to access the data within the parts and major unit locator modules of the LightspeedNXT DMS.

“This important partnership furthers our goal to help the dealer close more sales,” said Laurn Rice, general manager of ADP Lightspeed. “Having Western Power Sport’s extensive warehouse information integrated directly into LightspeedNXT gives dealers a competitive edge in getting the customer what they want quickly, even if what the customer is looking for is not in stock in the store. Improving customer service and decreasing lost sales.”

In June 2008, ADP Lightspeed released the parts and major unit locator within the LightspeedNXT program, which allows dealers to post their inventory and search other dealer’s inventory within the LightspeedNXT network instantly. The locator has quickly become a popular tool for dealers, with over 18,000 individual part searches in June 2009 alone. With this integration, Western Powersports warehouse data will now be automatically added to relevant searches.

By adding Western Power Sports data to the locator’s database, dealers will now be able to view the availability of Western Power Sports products in regional warehouses without having to leave the invoicing screen in LightspeedNXT. Stocking data is loaded into LightspeedNXT’s locator database daily, keeping the information updated.
