INDIANAPOLIS — One View Inc. announced that its electronic document scanning solution, Scan-View, has been approved by BMW North America for electronic storage and retrieval of documents.

Upon completion of the BMW North America electronic archiving certification program, dealerships may file scanned documents in place of original paper files for all service and warranty documents. Warranty audits can now be performed using the scanned documents, relieving dealerships from the costly manual process of filing and maintaining paper files. Electronic files only become valid for a warranty audit if a BMW center passes electronic archiving certification.

According to One View CEO, David DeHaven, the value proposition that sets One View apart from its competitors is its automated indexing and exception reporting.

With One View’s robust validation and proofreading controls, dealers can be assured that all documents are scanned and indexed correctly. One View’s exception report permits dealers to verify that all repair orders have been closed and scanned properly. In a few short hours, users can be managing and transferring documents with ease.

“One View turns paper documents into digital assets,” DeHaven said. “We understand the importance of immediate document retrieval to the accounting cffice, parts, service and sales departments, in order to provide a high level of customer service.”

One View is the only scanning Vendor that guarantees that the dealer uniquely owns and controls their data. With One View, there are no costly conversion expenses or exit fees. One View is easily viewable online, regardless of DMS vendor. One View stores information in a format that is both unalterable and secure, whether on a DVD or hosted in its certified data center.
